The unit "Puberty Blues" develops an understanding of the physical, social and emotional changes that take place during puberty and beyond.  Students will be exposed to changes in thier family and cultural group, gebder stereotypes and reflect on thier personal views and worth.

Canonic Conundrums is a learning unit designed for a non-auditioned high school, curricular choral ensemble/course containing students grades 10-12 representing diverse musical experience levels.

Gradual release of the predicting process is used with fictional texts. For the purposes of this learning element, activities were designed for the implementation of The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie at the beginning of a school year.

The purpose of this unit is to provide students with skills to make informed decisions and to give strategies to deal with current issues around drugs and safe partying. The students will develop resilience enabling them to make healthy choices improving their wellbeing.

Students explore properties of shapes inclucing angles, right angles, parrallel lines, equal, classifying shapes and exploring similarities and differences between shapes.

Students participate in two rotations of enrichment activities, immersing themselves in self-selected activities from Japan. They reflect and report back to the class, sharing their experiences and vocabulary. The class discusses the cross-cultural connections between Australia and Japan through investigating geography, home, school and celebrations. They consolidate this information by writing information reports, creating a poster promoting Japan as a holiday destination and presenting this at a travel expo.

This Learning Element offers ideas for the exploration and critical analysis of a popular packaged children's phenomenon. It suggests a pathway for the deconstruction of a children's television program, the surveying of other's attitudes, allows for assessment of associated mechanising and introduces students to a website related to the group. It gives opportunities for students to transfer knowledge gained to the creation of their own programs as well as to an analysis of other packaged children's phenomena.

This learning element looks at discrimination in society. It links school yard bullying to discrimination in society.
